196 Series Analog Panel Meters
The 196 Series Meter-Relays contain an exclusive light sensitive transistor switch that provides the ultimate in control simplicity and reliability. This switch controls the load relays. There are no pointer contacts or mechanical interference in the meter mechanism. The controllers are supplied with a plug-in control module that mounts directly on the rear of the Meter-Relay or may be remotely mounted with an accessory cable.
- Modern rectangular appearance
- Plug-in control module
- Proven optical setpoints
- Available with mounting bezels (Models 1965 & 1966)
- Limit lights & manual reset switches optional (Model 1967)
Meter Relay Specifications *
- On-Off or Alarm Control:
Each Meter-Relay is engineered for On-Off (automatic reset) control action. For alarm latching (manual reset), simply remove jumper wire from terminals at rear of control module and substitute a normally open momentary switch. - 117 Volt AC operation:
No special power supply needed . . . simply connect to 117 volt, 50 or 60Hz source - Long Lamp Life:
Because the lamp is operated at well below rated voltage, life expectancy is conservatively rated at 5 years (typical). - Safe Operation:
In the event of component failure or loss of control power, energized setpoint relays immediately de-energize. - Control Mounting Module:
Rear mount standard. May be remotely mounted using accessory kit. - Setpoint Coincidence:
+/- 2% of full scale at 117VAC input power (maximum difference in indications of setpointer and indicating pointer when control action occurs. - Repeatability:
0.3 percent of full scale - Setpointer Travel:
100 percent of full scale travel: double setpointers can be positioned to within 2 mechanical degrees of each other – approximately 2.2% of full scale. - Minimum Span:
0-20 micro Amp - Input Power:
117VAC +/- 10% , 50/60Hz. 7.0 Volt Amperes maximum - Load Relay:
DPDT per setpoint - Contact Rating:
5 Amperes AC non-inductive at 120 Volts
5 Amperes DC non-inductive at 28 Volts
0.2 Amperes DC non-inductive at 125 Volts
*Except as noted, the above specifications cover the meter-relay function only – i.e., all values given for accuracy, repeatability, etc., are exclusive of basic meter performance.
